The ideal spot for all kinds of skiing
Nestled in the heart of the Parpaillon massif and facing the Écrins National Park, Crévoux is one of the oldest skiing sites in the Hautes-Alpes. At an altitude of 1,600 m, Crévoux invites you to experience a total change of scenery. It’s no coincidence that the resort is known as the “ Natural ski paradise“: in fact, when you enter the Crévoux valley, you’ll immediately sense how this wild and unspoilt nature has overcome the hustle and bustle of the bigger resorts. In an authentic and exceptional setting, two kingdoms open their doors to you: the Alpine and the Nordic areas.
“Come and experience the many pleasures of board sports”
An exceptional alpine area with natural slopes that hug the relief to offer fun and technical skiing with 1,000 m of vertical drop. Its vast and wild ski area offers you a picture-postcard landscape between larch forest and large unspoilt natural spaces. With quality natural snow thanks to optimal exposure, families will find an ideal playground here. There’s something for lovers of ski touring too, as the resort offers an exceptional freeride area in the heart of the forest. An ideal spot for lovers of powder snow.
Fans of Nordic winter sports will also be delighted to find easy and sunny slopes on the Plateau, together with some more athletic routes on the north-facing slope. You’ll also be able to get started or improve on your biathlon skills, as the resort offers a permanent shooting range throughout the winter season. Or why not discover ski touring or ice climbing, accompanied by our mountain guides?
The pleasures of board sports don’t stop there in Crévoux, with a multitude of other activities on the agenda: dog-sled rides, snowshoes, fatbikes (mountain biking on snow), sledges … Everything you need for a fantastic holiday
“Choosing the Crévoux resort means choosing a warm and friendly resort with everything you’d expect from a much bigger destination”
A typical village, a true haven of peace
Its inhabitants, all very attached to their history, have been able to conserve and preserve this exceptional natural site by perpetuating local customs and traditions through the centuries. In Crévoux, you’ll discover the human charm and warmth of an authentic mountain village. To warm up after a good day of skiing, don’t hesitate to explore a little of the local cuisine by tasting the Archican. This typical, ancestral dish from the Crévoux valley was traditionally cooked once a year as the families “killed the pig”, and features the Crévoux black turnip – endemic to the valley – with its very particular flavour (in fact, at one time, it was exported to Paris to be cooked in the capital’s great restaurants). At Parpaillon, the village’s hotel restaurant, Nicolas Chastan continues the tradition as he grows this turnip and offers the dish on his menu.
Come and discover a welcoming village, far from the hustle and bustle of the big cities, and enjoy a breath of fresh air !
